Fall-time football at the pump
There’s no doubt the South loves it’s football. Wunderman’s client Chevron/Texaco wanted a promotion to capture customers’ passion for the game with their time at the pump. Our answer was a daily game, played through a web-based app that was only available at geosynchronized locations—that is, it was only active when you were at a participating store.
We were able to partner with the Dallas Cowboys, Texas A and M, as well as rivals Auburn and Alabama. The mechanic was simple, a one-click “field-goal” that was pass/fail. Prizes included everything from in-store goods to one-of-a-kind game day experiences.
